As a professional athlete and Nutrition Educator, I take hydration very seriously for a variety of reasons.
In fact, one of my final projects for my Master’s Degree in Nutrition Education was creating a program to educate fitness professionals on optimal hydration practices for athletes.
This program would equip trainers and coaches with the knowledge to support athletes’ hydration, thereby enhancing their health and performance.
Along with my experiences as an athlete, that’s why I believe I’m the perfect person to help parents who might be wondering if Prime hydration drinks are good for kids.

Final Thoughts – Should Kids Drink Prime Hydration Beverages?
In my opinion, Prime Hydration drinks are a favorable option compared to many other beverages marketed to kids, especially when considering sugary drinks like Gatorade and soda.
If children enjoy Prime, it might even encourage them to drink more water or pure coconut water eventually as well.
As a parent and Nutrition Educator (I have a 4 year old son), I also suggest that you take the time to use your child’s Prime Hydration Drink as an opportunity for a nutrition lesson. You can tell your child about the benefit of each specific electrolyte and ingredient in the Prime Hydration Drinks, and you can help them develop a knowledge base about why it is important to consume healthy, hydrating drinks and not SSBs.
However, it’s important to be cautious with coconut water on hot days, as excessive consumption can lead to hyperkalemia due to high potassium levels.
Overall, Prime Hydration drinks, including the new Aaron Judge edition with only 20 calories per bottle, are a decent option for kids.
