What is a Revenge Body?
For starters, a “revenge body” is an improved body built to show someone who hurt you how amazing you are without them.
Revenge bodies started to become popular with female celebrities in the early 2010s, but now they happily cross gender lines and are popular with all sorts of people.
If you are thinking about working on a revenge body, it’s one of the best ways to show someone what they’re truly missing!
The Step-by-Step Guide to Getting a Revenge Body
If you’re trying to prove someone wrong or get back at someone who hurt you, these revenge body tips will help you get healthy, look amazing (although you already do!), and love yourself (even more than you already should)!
Step 1: What Changes Do You Want to Make?
The first step to getting a revenge body is identifying the changes you want to make.
Do you need to lose weight or gain muscle?
Is improving your hair or skin health a priority?
If you want to lose weight – how much weight do you need to lose?
I suggest you try to lose 2 pounds per week at most, regardless of how much you think you need to lose.
If you think adding some muscle mass to your body will make you look better, you need to understand that weight training or other forms of strength training will be involved.
Regardless of the changes you want, setting a clear plan and goal is important to help you achieve your desired body composition.
When setting a goal, it’s essential to make it SMART.
This means making it:
By doing so, you can create a clear roadmap and stay focused on achieving your objectives.
For example, setting a goal to lose 10 pounds in three months is specific, measurable, and time-bound.
It’s also an attainable goal, given the right effort and resources, and relevant to your overall revenge body goals.
Setting a SMART goal helps you break down your larger goal into smaller, more manageable objectives, making it easier to stay on track and make steady progress.
By creating a clear target to work towards, you’ll be more focused, motivated, and committed to achieving your desired body composition.
Regardless of your revenge body goals, starting with a plan and focusing on your objectives is important.
Whether you need to lose weight, gain muscle, or improve your overall health and well-being, setting a SMART goal can be an effective way to help you achieve your aspirations in a healthy and sustainable way.
Step 2: The Revenge Body Diet Plan
Whether your goal is losing fat, gaining muscle, or simply looking healthier, you can’t make the changes you want without a proper diet.
For your revenge body diet, I don’t suggest making an insanely strict diet plan.
Instead, I will guide you with simple rules to help you make the changes you want.
First, determine whether you need to increase or decrease the calories you consume daily.
Want to gain muscle? Increase your calories per day by about 500.
Want to lose weight? Decrease your calorie consumption by about 500 calories per day.
You can be more or less specific depending on how much you feel like tracking your food consumption. MyFitnessPal is a simple and healthy tool for this.
Next, let’s lay out some simple revenge diet guidelines.
For your revenge diet, avoid consuming foods and drinks with added sugar.
Sugar-sweetened beverages, specifically, are the worst possible thing for your health.
For carbohydrates, focus on consuming fruits (both fresh and dried, such as organic dates), vegetables, whole grains, nuts, seeds, and other legumes.
This should make up approximately 50-60% of your daily calories.
For protein, try to consume vegan protein sources more than animal protein.
Animal protein certainly can play a role in a healthy diet for weight loss or muscle gain, but vegan protein sources generally contain a wider variety of nutrients that will contribute to your skin and hair health.
Fatty fish should be a priority, as it contains high amounts of healthy unsaturated fat (Omega-3 fatty acids).
Many of the carbohydrate sources listed above contain plenty of protein as well!
Protein should make up about 20-30% of your daily calories.
Furthermore, don’t be afraid to consume sources of healthy unsaturated dietary fat!
Nuts, seeds, fatty fish, olive oil, and other plant fats are all excellent sources of healthy dietary fat that are beneficial for your body.
Lastly, avoid alcohol as much as possible.
You can have moderate amounts of alcohol a couple of times per week, such as a glass of red wine before bed, but do not overdo it because the calories from alcohol add up fast!
Along with these basics, another great tip is to prep meals whenever possible and keep healthy snacks on hand as much as possible.
Doing this will reduce the risk of you reaching for something that isn’t very healthy.
You can try to take one day per week when your schedule is the freest and prepare up to 20 healthy (not to mention delicious) meals that you can freeze.
The last aspect of your revenge body diet is dietary supplements.
If you are trying to get a revenge body, supplements can help put you over the top for your weight loss or muscle gain goals.
If your goal is to lose weight, my favorite supplement is RSP Nutrition Amino Lean.
RSP Amino Lean is a great product that includes a healthy amount of amino acids and a few of the best metabolism-boosting fat burning ingredients like CLA, L-Carnitine, green tea, and green coffee bean extract.
If you want to build muscle mass, a good protein powder is the main supplement you will need.
I suggest Garden of Life Raw Protein & Greens.
This is a plant-based protein powder that also contains additional superfoods that will improve your overall health.
If you want healthier skin and a more youthful appearance, add a good collagen and hyaluronic acid supplement to your revenge diet.
My suggestion is NOW Foods BioCell Collagen because it is a scientifically evaluated form of collagen that is proven to be effective:

Step 3: Make a Revenge Body Workout Plan
Exercise is crucial to achieving a revenge body, no matter what changes you want.
Luckily, there are many different forms of exercise to choose from to help you achieve your goals.
First, you’ll need to decide where you want to work out.
Going to a gym is a great option because it offers access to various equipment and resources.
Weight training workouts, for example, can help you build muscle mass and improve your body composition.
Plus, most gyms offer group classes like spinning, yoga, and Pilates, allowing you to try new things and work out in a social setting.
If you prefer to work out at home, plenty of options are also available.
You can invest in a set of dumbbells or resistance bands and follow along with online workout videos.
There are also a variety of workout apps available that can guide you through exercises and routines that can be done from the comfort of your own home.
If you’re interested in incorporating yoga into your workout routine, but prefer to do it from the comfort of your own home, online yoga classes may be the perfect solution.
Websites like YogaDownload.com offer various online yoga classes taught by experienced instructors.
Yoga is a great way to build strength, flexibility, and balance while reducing stress and promoting relaxation.
If you enjoy the outdoors, many activities can help you get fit and achieve your revenge body goals.
Running, hiking, swimming, and biking are all great options that allow you to enjoy the beauty of nature and get fit without going to the gym.
No matter what type of exercise you choose, staying consistent and challenging yourself over time is important.
Set realistic goals for yourself and gradually increase the intensity and duration of your workouts.
Also, don’t forget to listen to your body and take rest days when needed to prevent injury and promote recovery.
Remember, exercise is a key component of achieving your revenge body, but it’s also important to find activities that fit your lifestyle that you enjoy.
By finding a form of exercise that you love, you’ll be more likely to stick with it and see long-term results.
Step 4: Maintain Your Motivation
Whether you need help motivating yourself to workout, staying on track with your diet, or simply staying focused on the goal when progress slows down, maintaining your motivation is one of the most important parts of getting a revenge body.
One of the best ways to do this is to find someone who has accomplished a similar goal to what you are going after and look up to them.
For example, you could look up to Khloe Kardashian because she made one of the biggest changes in most-recent memory.
There are many other tips for motivation, but find what keeps you motivated because I am telling you the journey will get tiring at certain points!
Step 5: Treat Yourself!
Congratulations, you’ve been following your revenge diet, sticking to your workout program, and making amazing progress toward your goals!
But remember, it’s important to take a break and treat yourself every once in a while.
Treating yourself doesn’t have to mean indulging in unhealthy foods or habits.
Instead, it can be something that makes you feel good about yourself and your progress.
For example, treat yourself to a new workout outfit, a massage, or a day at the spa.
These can all help you relax and recharge, giving you a renewed sense of motivation to continue your journey toward a healthier you.
Another great way to treat yourself is to invest in a coolsculpting treatment.
Coolsculpting is a non-invasive procedure that can help eliminate stubborn fat in targeted areas of the body.
You can visit a professional coolsculpting center or even buy a DIY coolsculpting at-home machine to use in the comfort of your home.
This can be a great way to accelerate your fat loss in specific areas and achieve the body shape you desire.
Treating yourself is an important part of the journey towards your revenge body. It can help you stay motivated, feel confident, and keep pushing towards your goals.
So go ahead, give yourself a well-deserved treat, and keep up the hard work toward a healthier and happier you!
