Whether you’re going through a breakup, or you’ve just suddenly got an incredible desire to make everyone who doubted you drop their jaws at the look of your Instagram photos, getting a “revenge body” can boost your self-esteem and be a great decision for your health.
Although you should love the body you have no matter what anyone says, sometimes getting a revenge body just feels right.
In this article, I’ll lay out a sure-fire plan that will help you get a revenge body while making you a healthier person both physically and mentally!
What is a Revenge Body?
For starters, a “revenge body” is an improved body that was built in order to show someone who hurt you how amazing you are doing without them.
Revenge bodies started to become popular with female celebrities in the early 2010s, but now they happily cross gender lines and are popular with all sorts of people.
If you are thinking about working on a revenge body, it’s one of the absolute best ways to show someone what they’re truly missing!
The Step by Step Guide to Getting Revenge Body:
If you’re trying to prove someone wrong or get back at someone who hurt you, these revenge body tips will help you get healthy, look amazing (although you already do!), and love yourself (even more than you already should)!
Step 1: What Changes Do You Want to Make?
If you want to get a revenge body, you need to know what changes you need to make. For starters, do you need to lose weight, or do you need to gain muscle?
Additionally, do you need to improve your hair or skin health?
This is a simple step but it is extremely important.
If you want to lose weight, how much weight do you need to lose? Personally, I suggest you try to lose 2 pounds per week at most, regardless of how much weight you think you need to lose.
If you want to build muscle mass, you need to understand that weight training or other forms of exercise are going to be involved.
Regardless, step one of getting a revenge body is setting your plan and focusing on your goal!
Step 2: The Revenge Body Diet Plan
Regardless of whether your goal is losing fat, gaining muscle, or simply looking healthier, you can’t make the changes you want without a proper diet.
For your revenge body diet, I don’t suggest making an insanely strict diet plan. Instead, I will guide you with a few simple rules which will help you make the changes you want.
First, determine whether you need to increase or decrease the number of calories per day.
Want to gain muscle? Increase your calories per day by about 500.
Want to lose weight? Decrease your calorie consumption by about 500 calories per day.
You can be more or less specific depending on how much you feel like tracking your food consumption. MyFitnessPal is a simple and healthy tool for this.
Next, let’s lay out some simple revenge diet guidelines.
For your revenge diet, try to avoid consuming foods and drinks that have added sugar. Sugar-sweetened beverages, specifically, are the worst possible thing for your health.
For carbohydrates, focus on consuming fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, seeds, and other legumes. This should make up approximately 50-60% of the calories you consume per day.
For protein, try to consume vegan protein sources, including vegan protein powder, more than animal protein. Animal protein is generally higher in saturated fat, which is bad for your body and bad for your overall health. Fatty fish is an exception, as it contains high amounts of healthy unsaturated fat (Omega-3 fatty acids).
Many of the carbohydrate sources listed above contain plenty of protein as well! Protein should make up about 20-30% of the calories you consume per day.
For dietary fat, don’t be afraid to consume sources of healthy unsaturated fat! Nuts, seeds, fatty fish, olive oil, and other plant fats are all excellent sources of healthy dietary fat which are very beneficial for your body. This should make up about 30-40% of the total calories you consume per day.
Lastly, avoid alcohol as much as possible. You can have moderate amounts of alcohol a couple of times per week, such as a glass of red wine before bed, but do not overdo it because the calories from alcohol add up fast!
Along with these basics, another great tip is to do meal prep whenever possible and keep healthy snacks on hand as much as possible. Doing this will reduce the risk of you reaching for something that isn’t very healthy.
You can try to take one day per week when your schedule is the freest, and prepare up to 20 healthy (not to mention delicious) meals that you can freeze.
The Right Supplements for a Revenge Diet
Finally, the last aspect of your revenge diet is dietary supplements.
If you are trying to get a revenge body, using supplements can help put you over the top for either your weight loss or muscle gaining goals.
If your goal is to lose weight, the main product I believe you should use is RSP Nutrition Amino Lean. This is a great product that not only includes a healthy amount of amino acids, but it also contains a few of the best metabolism-boosting fat burning ingredients like CLA, L-Carnitine, green tea extract, and green coffee bean extract.
If you want to build muscle mass, a good protein powder is the main supplement you will need. Personally, I suggest you use Your Super Muscle Power. This is a plant-based protein powder that also contains additional superfoods that will improve your overall health.
You can also take a look at my Your Super Review to see all their superfood powders because there are quite a few that you might be interested in while trying to get a revenge body, as well as a coupon code you can use when ordering products directly from their website.
If you are trying to get healthier skin and a more youthful appearance, you definitely want to add a good collagen and hyaluronic acid supplement to your revenge diet. My suggestion is NOW Foods BioCell Collagen because it is a scientifically evaluated form of collagen that is proven to be effective:

Step 3: Make a Revenge Body Workout Plan
No matter what changes you need to make in your body, you are going to need to exercise for a truly amazing revenge body.
Fortunately, there are a ton of different forms of exercise you can use.
First, determine whether you want to workout in a gym, at home, or exercise outside.
Going to a gym to workout is a great option because even the simplest weight training workout programs can help you build muscle mass and improve your body figure.
Getting a personal trainer is also a great option if you have the money to do so.
If you want to workout at home, an awesome revenge body workout program you can follow is Ali Holman’s 20-Minute Fit program. This is a 6-week program of 20-minute workouts that will definitely get you looking the way you want!
Other options include spinning workouts, yoga, and any of the outdoor activities that you can do that will help you get fit without going to the gym.
Step 4: Maintain Your Motivation
Whether you need help motivating yourself to workout, staying on track with your diet, or just simply staying focused on the goal as a whole when progress slows down, maintaining your motivation is one of the most important parts of getting a revenge body.
One of the best ways to do this is to find someone who has accomplished a similar goal to what you are going after and look up to them.
For example, you could look up to Khloe Kardashian because she made one of the biggest changes in most-recent memory.
There are tons of other tips for motivation out there as well, but find what keeps you motivated because I am telling you the journey will get tiring at certain points!
Step 5: Treat Yourself!
If you’ve been maintaining a revenge diet, using your revenge body workout program, and maintaining focus on your goal for weeks or months, don’t be afraid to treat yourself!
Your treat could be a snack, clothes, or doing something for your body that you’ve always wanted.
Alternatively, you could go to a coolsculpting center or by a DIY coolsculpting at home machine to accelerate fat loss in specific regions.
If these sound like special “treats” to you, go for it! You deserve it if you are putting in hard work for your overall health.
There are certainly some people who believe that no matter what you should love the body you have and never think about doing any type of surgery to change your appearance. While that certainly is true, it’s your body and you should do what you want with it.
Sometimes, a simple procedure such as micro-rhinoplasty is what you truly feel that you want, and you shouldn’t let other’s views or perceptions of right or wrong dictate you because that’s not what getting revenge body is all about!
However, you definitely want to consider your options before doing anything drastic.
Fortunately, there are plenty of ways to view how you would look with cosmetic surgeries. For example, a 3D mask shows “before and after” images of what nose surgery will look like on you.
Additionally, the experts from Panthea Plastic Surgery or other breast augmentation experts can provide insight into how that type of surgery will change your appearance.
Lastly, it is important to remember that whether you get a breast augmentation in Dallas or rhinoplasty in New York, you still need to stick to your diet and workout plan to truly get a revenge body!
If that’s not the type of treat you want, just go and buy yourself some clothes! Whether it’s some cool new mens underwear or women’s underwear or a new Gymshark outfit that you can even make more affordable with a Gymshark code, treat yourself to whatever will make you feel good!
