2 Tricks Which Will Dramatically Increase Your Fat Burning Potential!

Generally speaking, losing weight comes down to nothing more than intaking fewer calories than you spend each day.  For those of you who are (correctly) more focused on losing body fat, than “weight,” there are many other factors at work as well.

Losing body fat while also maintaining muscle mass is not an easy process, but there are a few tricks which can help you!

The two tips below can help you maintain muscle mass, while also helping you shed those unwanted pounds of fat!

Fasted Cardio for Fat Loss

Fasted cardio is not a completely unique concept to the world, but learning how to correctly utilize fasted cardio in your training program is vital to your success.  Fasted cardio works for burning fat since when your body is in a “fasted” state, you can preferentially burn fat instead of just burning through your body’s glycogen stores.

Fasted cardio is performed first thing in the morning, after waking.

It is best if you can cut off your food consumption from the previous night around 8 p.m., and perform your fasted cardio around 8 a.m.

This will give you around 12 hours for your body to lower its glycogen levels naturally, and allow your body to be primed for fat burning.

Another important factor to remember about fasted cardio is that “fasted” (for our sake) does not necessarily mean without any calorie consumption at all.  BCAA’s and fish oil or CLA are great to take before fated cardio, along with a form of caffeine (such as green tea), and L-carnitine.

The key is that you do not want to ingest anything which contains carbohydrates (or any product which could raise your insulin levels).  By only intaking pure protein or healthy fats, your body will remain in a “fasted” state.

Fasted cardio is best done with low-intensity exercise, such as walking.

Add in 45 minutes to an hour of fasted walking 5 days per week for a month, and you will probably be able to break through any fat-loss plateau!

Using Fat Burners to Aid Your Fat Loss Journey

Another trick to shedding unwanted fat from your body is to find a fat burning pill which works, and utilize this correctly!  Popping fat burners without any strategy is an extremely dumb idea, and can have negative effects on your body.

However, fat burners can be vitally used in a strategic fat burning plan.

Too many people either overuse fat burners without understanding the consequences, or shy away from them because they believe fat burners to be too unhealthy for your body.

Here are a couple exercises from my workout today. I hope you can notice the one small difference I made on these Bulgarian Split squats. Instead of using a flat bench to place my rear foot, I used a bench with a slight incline. Doing so makes the ankle flexibility a bit easier and changes the stress of the movement a little different. If your ankles are tight and Bulgarian Split Squats are uncomfortable for you, give it a try!

The 2nd exercise is a core movement that I added some weight too. The “pull-over” movement (14kg Kettlebell) adds some more muscles into the movement making it a bit more challenging.
