Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) and Sesamin supplements are great for weight loss and fat loss!

You might not have ever heard about Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) or Sesamin, but you will be glad you are learning about them today! CLA supplements are known as being an effective and stimulant-free supplement for weight loss, but they are much more than that.

Sesamin supplements are even lesser known than CLA, but they are also very beneficial for your health!

CLA and Sesamin work well on their own, but they are synergistic and work even better when used together.

Want to learn more about how to use CLA and Sesamin for weight loss?

Keep reading below!

What is Sesamin?

Sesamin is a lignin that is taken directly out of sesame seeds.

Sesamin is a minor component of sesame oil, but it can be a major component of your diet! Sesamin can change the way that our body absorbs Vitamin E, and it is commonly used as a supplement for minor improvements in blood pressure tests.

Even as far back as 1990, one study that was published in the journal Metabolism pointed out that Sesamin is a potent inducer of hepatic fatty acid oxidation in rats.

One of the many reasons that I love using sesamin is that it is an entirely natural product. Sesamin is derived entirely from nature, and the body responds well to its use.

Sesamin Supplements for Weight Loss – Do They Work?

Sesamin has been shown to suppress lipogenic genes, which can result in fat loss assistance.

According to a study on the effect of adding sesame oil to a traditional diet which was published in the Yale Journal of Biology and Medicine,

“A significant reduction was noted in body weight and body mass index (BMI) upon sesame oil substitution.”

If you want to get enough sesamin in your diet, you are going to need a sesamin supplement. Honestly, there is no other way that you can get enough of this in your body!

Personally, I believe that sesamin supplements work great when taken three times per day.

You can take your first sesamin supplement right in the morning after waking up, one with your lunch, and then another before you go to sleep.

There are a variety of other ways to use sesamin supplements as well, but this is a basic strategy I use.

The Best Sesamin Supplement

There are quite a few sesamin supplements on the market, but I suggest you buy the Lignans for Life sesamin supplement.

Lignans for Life is made from 100% pure sesame seeds and contains:

  • 540 mg Sesame Seed Extract
  • 81 mg Sesamin
  • 27 mg Sesamolin

What is CLA?

CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid) is a fatty acid that is naturally found in beef and dairy.

Want an excuse to eat more butter? Butter is high in CLA!

Is CLA Good for Weight Loss?

CLA has shown in some extremely promising animal studies that it was able to reduce body fat by as much as 60%!

A study entitled Effect of Conjugated Linoleic Acid on Body Composition in Mice, produced in Lipids concluded that

“The effects of CLA on body composition appear to be due in part to reduced fat deposition and increased lipolysis in adipocytes, possibly coupled with enhanced fatty acid oxidation in both muscle cells and adipocytes.”

Furthermore, according to a study published in the International Journal of Obesity,

“These results indicate that CLA supplementation for 4 weeks in obese men with the metabolic syndrome may decrease abdominal fat, without concomitant effects on overall obesity or other cardiovascular risk factors.”

However, CLA will not do all the work on its own. With regular exercise CLA can lead to increased fat loss, but if you are counting on this to burn fat for you, you are out of luck!

Although milk, beef, and butter are excellent sources of CLA, it is hard to get enough in your diet from these sources. An alternative natural source of CLA is Safflower Oil, and many people have even learned how to lose weight with black seed oil easily!

How Much CLA to Take for Weight Loss

According to the results of a few different studies, around 3 to 4 g of the supplement per day can lead to a reduction in body fat. I usually take 1 gram of CLA, 3 times per day.

When Should You Take CLA for Weight Loss?

If you want to use CLA for weight loss, I suggest taking CLA in the morning, afternoon, and before bed. Taking CLA before bed may even have additional benefits!

According to a study published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition,

“Mixed isomer CLA supplementation, but not placebo, positively altered fat oxidation and energy expenditure during sleep.”

However, that doesn’t mean you should only take CLA before bed. Your goal should be to take 3-4 grams of CLA each day split into equal dosages. The study that was published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition used a dosage of 4 grams of CLA per day of 78% active CLA isomers.

How Long Does It Take for CLA to Work?

Many people who are starting a fat burning routine look for quick results, but this is not what CLA does. Contrarily, it will take you at least one or two months to fully see the results of taking CLA.

One of the biggest advantages of taking a conjugated linoleic acid supplement is that it will help you to retain muscle during “cutting” cycles, and it will help you to remain leaner while in “bulking” cycles.

I highly suggest anyone who tries to use CLA for weight loss to consider that you need to accompany this supplement with exercise!

Concluding Thoughts – Combining Sesamin and CLA for Weight Loss

While there are many studies that showcase the results of both products, combining them is the way to go! Combining CLA and sesamin is a truly effective way to lose weight fast for men or women.

In addition to being great for shredding body fat, this supplement stack also works extremely well for helping to keep fat off while bulking up.

In any situation where you will be increasing your overall calories to gain weight, the combination of CLA and Sesamin supplements can help you maximize your muscle gains without putting on too much fat!

Honestly, I use these two products more when I am attempting to gain weight than when I am trying to lose weight because they are great for a “clean bulk.”

While you may not experience the same 60% fat loss that has been recorded in animal testing, using these supplements together can help you to lose weight consistently.

For those people who are planning to use these two supplements together for fat loss, I suggest you take them in three separate dosages each day.

Both CLA and Sesamin have nutrient partitioning potential which can help block the absorption of calories to body fat, which is why they are great to use before a meal.

If you use these products consistently for the course of one or two months, you will learn why CLA and Sesamin are excellent weight loss supplements!

If you would like to purchase a product that combines both of these supplements, you can try Life Extension Super CLA Blend with Sesame Lignans.
