If you are wondering what is similar between Nespresso, Keurig and Dolce Gusto then you should know that these are all coffee machines almost in the lines of the famous Espresso that can produce an exclusive grade of Italian coffee.
However, there are some differences in the technology used in Espresso and other machines like Nespresso that use of coffee capsules compatible with the machines instead of coffee grounds. Nespresso coffee machines are a household name in Europe and now making its presence felt in North America, and you too could be tempted to use it in place of Espresso coffee machines at home that has ruled across the major parts of the world since the inception of ready-made coffee makers.
Espresso is a concentrated form of coffee created by forcing hot water at high pressure of 7-10 atmospheres through superfine coffee grounds. Brewing coffee in Espresso machines involves placing superfine coffee grounds in a porta-filter and attaching the filter to a heavy-duty machine to force steaming hot water through the coffee grounds by maintaining a pressure of approximately 9 bars.
The process is not very simple as it involves controlling a number of factors simultaneously.

Moreover, any unintended changes to any one of the factors impact the other ones.
Nespresso has a much simpler operating procedure. You just pop the coffee capsule in the device and press the button, and the shot gets ready without doing anything more.
The machine can achieve up to 15 bars pressure, which is a lot more than required to produce a concentrated shot with fine crema.
The process is not only fast but also consistent and simple. Although the purists and snobbish coffee lovers look down on the use of coffee capsules and construe that simplicity affects the taste and flavor, the view does not hold much water.
