  • Green Malay

Feeling overwhelmed, sad, or burdened is a part of life. But, if you let these feelings linger for a long time, it can become a permanent thing. It can also take a toll on your mental health. Together those feelings can keep you from living life to the fullest.

While it’s not uncommon for many to turn to pharmaceutical help when it comes to managing feelings of overwhelm and anxiety; others prefer to turn to more natural/holistic way.

To that end, kratom can be a nice herbal supplement for the management of anxiety; given you educate yourself and consume it responsibly.

With that said, let’s take a look at different types/strains of kratom that could make you feel more upbeat and less anxious.

  1. Maeng Da Kratom

Let’s just say this is one of the (if not most) popular kratom strains out there. When consumed in the right amount, it can be highly potent capable of fighting off clouded cognition.

While other strains may make you mildly sleepy, Maeng Da can fuel you much like coffee with an added sense of awareness and clarity. That cloudy mental state where you are not able to think straight, it can help with that as well.

Some people feel Maeng Da helps them unwind when they find it particularly difficult to relax naturally.  Maeng Da Kratom is a sound choice if you want to do away with the everyday pressures and feelings of overwhelm.

  1. Malay Kratom

Malay kratom is another great option for those who experience episodes of overwhelm and mental confusion regularly. This strain, when consumed in the right dose can help you feel calmer, more relaxed, and upbeat.

It could be particularly good for people who have stressful jobs and need something to get them through the day energetically much as coffee does.

  1. Bali Kratom

This is again one of the most popular and most easily available kratom strains in the US markets both offline and online. Part of the reason is that it can help manage symptoms of anxiety. It can also be mildly sedating in an occasional user.

What’s more, unlike other expensive strains such as Indo and Borneo, this one is relatively more economical thus making it a fairly preferable strain.

However, let it be known that depending on the seller, method of harvesting and the place from where Bali strain came, it could cause nausea and other side-effects (especially when the dose goes unmonitored and is higher than your usual dose).

  1. Thai Kratom

This particular kratom strain, as the name gives it away, comes from Thailand. Typically you will find it marketed as red, white, and green vein Thai kratom. The effects of each strain could vary significantly from another.

However, all of these could be helpful to some extent in managing the signs of anxiety and overwhelm to some degree.

  1. White Vein Kratom

This particular kratom strain could elevate a sense of well being. It could also put you in a good mood which should help you navigate through mental clutter all the while keeping stress at bay.

Some may also sense a lifting of physical nuances and discomforts.

You can compare the sensation with a sudden unclenching of fists where you feel more relaxed and ‘in the flow’.

  1. Indo

Based on the season of harvest, the plant from where the strain came, vein color, etc. effects of Indo kratom strain can vary significantly from one person to another. However, some of the effects can range from improved relaxation, elevated mood, mild sedation, to a sense of positive outlook.

Indo can be quite similar to Borneo in terms of potency.

However, it’s not as sedating as the latter.  Some people also feel that Indo strain effects can be more lasting when it comes to managing anxiety than other strains.

You might want to try white vein Indo strain if you seek a natural energy and mood booster.

  1. Red Vein

Unique alkaloid profile of red vein kratom makes it highly potent in terms of making you feel more upbeat and less anxious. The intensity of effects would vary largely based on the individual.

It’s also worth noting that different red vein kratom varieties could have different degrees and profile of effects.

Therefore, do research, check out red vein from different vendors, and monitor your doses until you find the one that’s just right for you.

  1. Borneo

While some like to use Borneo to help with mild pain, others like to use it for feeling upbeat and deal with anxiety. Borneo carries the least number of side-effects which means you can play around with dosages more easily without putting your health at risk.

This can be a particularly great asset for those who are more prone to feelings of overwhelm and lack of control over their mental state.

  1. Green Malay

Green color strains, in general, are associated with improved levels of energy which probably explains why green Malay might help you feel more energetic and in control of your thoughts. The energizing effects of this strain could be more noticeable than others.

They could even be stronger.

Another prominent and more noticeable effect of green Malay is improved focus which can be particularly helpful if you need something to ‘pick you up’ and give that much-needed sense of clarity to get everyday work done.

Final Thoughts

Let it be known that the FDA does not regulate kratom and there are no guidelines for dosage. It’s also important to note that the same kratom strain coming from different vendors, consumed in different quantities could have completely different results.

Many factors go into controlling the final results.

Therefore, it’s important to be realistic about what it could and could not do. Also, always start small with any kratom strain dosage and slowly work your way up.
