Ever considered traveling to Mexico to lose weight? No doubt you have heard of Americans traveling south of the border to cut medical costs on bariatric and cosmetic surgeries yet that’s not what I’d like to write about today.
There is a far healthier way to lose weight and the way I’ve been doing it too! I’m writing this post in fact because I’m feeling really inspired because I just booked to attend a retreat with Maria Lopez who is hosting her next weight loss retreat in Tulum, Mexico this year.
Everyday men and women alike travel from the United States and from around the world to attend health, wellness and weight loss retreats throughout Mexico. Most being held in tourist hotspots like Cabo, Puerto Vallarta and the Cancun area.
These retreats focus on a number of the best ways the retreat leader knows to help guests lose weight, detox and improve their level of health and overall fitness and flexibility.
Many retreat-goers follow specific retreat leaders yet more attend different retreats held by different leaders and focusing on different methods to lose weight and take back control of their lives.
On these retreats expect likeminded people who have excess fat and weight to lose, have been struggling for a long time to get rid of it and have finally decided to really do something about it.
This is one of the things that attracted me most and was very much enjoyed because it feels so much better when you are doing it together and are really there to support one another.
In addition there are a number of group and team building activities and many make friends for life on these retreat programs. I myself have met a number of fantastic people who I routinely keep in contact with to this day.
I also love the fact that while I’m losing weight and feeling great through the detoxing and clean eating and living, I’m also enjoying a fantastic vacation in Mexico and leaving all my worries back state side.
Having been attending weight loss retreats and other health and detox resorts for many years now I’m often one of the first to book and love to spread the word to others because this truly does work, and has longterm effects.
Like many of course I have been through the days of taking online weight loss programs which I in fact found to be mostly scams, I’m completely done with taking weight loss pills or any medications to help me manage my weight, they either don’t work or make my heart race and feel ill. That’s why when I discovered weight loss vacations first through a retreat I took in Thailand and then later closer to home in Mexico, I really haven’t looked back.
I’m excited to have just booked my next retreat in Tulum with Maria Lopez at the Mexico Weight Loss Retreat and am already doing my preparations like starting a new exercise routine and eliminating a few healthy foods that have snuck back into my diet.
That’s another great thing about attending retreats like these because as soon as I’ve booked I get a rush of motivation and start focusing on my health and fitness with far more zest and enthusiasm as I get closer to the start date!
