Bed-Bugs are Coming Back! Use These Tips to Protect Yourself!

Bed bugs are not the issue they once were in the world, but they are rapidly making a comeback to their previously nasty level!

Advancements in hygiene and overall cleanliness of developed nations have helped to eradicate this annoying insect, but increased global travel and mutations of the insect themselves have allowed them to become prominent again in the United States and the rest of the world.

What are Bed Bugs?

The bed bug is a very common best, and is a wingless insect type parasite, which feeds off of human or animal blood while they sleep.

It is fairly easy to tell if you have been bitten by bed bugs, since you will normally see red bite marks or spots on your skin in the morning when you wake up.

Bed bugs are not normally considered a dangerous insect such as mosquitos, but the look of the bites, the intense itching of the bites, and the chance for an allergic reaction to the bites are all causes to be concerned about.

Where Are Bed-Bugs Normally Found?

Many people associate bed bugs with poor living conditions or traveling to less-hygienic places, but this is not necessarily the rule.

Bed bugs can be found even in 5 star hotels, and it is better to prepare yourself when traveling regardless of your destination!

Especially when you are traveling, the best solution to avoid bed bugs is to spray your bed with an all-natural bed bug cleaner.  The rise in bed bugs across the world this past year is generally blamed on people traveling further, and more often, than ever before.

Human travel is the main way in which bed-bugs spread since they are not an insect which can fly, and can only travel about 100 feet per night on their own.  Due to this, they prefer to “hitchhike” on the luggage, clothes, or literal backs of human beings.

Proper hygiene can help prevent this in some ways, but you need to be even more vigilant than this as well!

How to Protect Yourself From Bed-Bugs?

Using an all-natural bug spray will ensure that you will not be effected by this annoying parasite, and will not damage your skin or body in any other way.

Personally, I consider this product to be the best natural bed bug repellent with organic lavender and peppermint essential oils!

Compared with other chemically produced bed-bug repellants, this product will also help you sleep better due to its combination of essential oils and aromas!  The same essential oils that repel these nasty bugs, also help us get a better night’s sleep!

Many bed-bug sprays on the market can have adverse side effects which are worse than the bed bugs themselves, and you should avoid these when possible.

The town itself you can pretty much see in its entirety on my 2nd photo. @Anna_Targoniy and I spent about an hour just sitting by the sea, and watching the water and the people fishing off the docks. There are some great wine/olive tours here that we didn’t do, but it was still an amazing place to see!

Later I will post some other photos from this amazing little town, but I was so excited I had to post this first 😂 @olybeea.gr is by far the best honey I’ve ever had in my life! I’ve ate local New York honey forever, but this was just a whole different level! Also they have an incredible “mantra” about the connection between bees, honey, and life in general that I think is great. •
Katakolon is a high-traffic port for excursions in the Mediterranean so if anyone happens to come through here, I highly recommend you check out their shop! Personally, I’m excited to go back and try their Royal Jelly and other honey products!!
