Ringing in the ears is one of the most annoying and frustrating things that you might have to deal with in your life. Otherwise known as tinnitus, this condition can make it pretty much impossible to focus on anything around you or the work that you have to do.

You’re constantly distracted by the ringing in your ears that won’t seem to go away, and even doctors don’t know exactly what to do about this condition!

Tinnitus is actually a relatively common problem, and it affects about 15 to 20 percent of people. Ringing in the ears isn’t a condition itself, however, it’s a symptom of an underlying condition.

If you are trying to reduce the symptoms of tinnitus, keep reading below to learn all about the easy foods you can add into your diet that could help reduce the ringing sounds in your ears.

Foods that Reduce Tinnitus

There are a variety of foods which can reduce the symptoms of tinnitus. Check out a few of the main ones here:

It could be the case that one of the causes of your tinnitus is inflammation in your inner ear. And one of the absolute best foods to reduce inflammation throughout your body is pineapple.

It’s been shown in numerous studies that thanks to properties of the pineapple, you will see reduced inflammation when you add more of this tasty fruit to your diet.

However, just make sure that you don’t have any kind of allergies to pineapple before you start consuming it!

There have been some studies that found a connection between your level of zinc and the ringing you experience in your ears. When you have a low level of zinc, you are more likely to experience that ringing sensation.

One way to get around that is to increase the amount of fortified cereal and milk you eat.

You can add this to your diet in the morning and see if it helps with your ringing throughout the day.

And next, we have one of everybody’s favorite fruits – the banana.

Did you know that banana can seriously help out with that ringing you keep hearing every day? Why would you want to get a hearing aid when you have bananas to help with your hearing?

One of the main reasons why this ringing could be happening is because extra fluid has built up within your ear canal. One of the main properties of bananas is potassium, which can help manage the fluid in your body.

Ensure that while you are eating these bananas to manage your fluid levels, you are getting enough fluid from water.

Meat & Fish

Another reason why this ringing might be happening to you is because you’re not getting enough B12 in your body. Vitamin B12 is a crucial vitamin for your body’s daily functioning and you have to get a certain amount in order to get healthy.

However, the best solution to this is to get enough meat and fish into your body.

Animal products are the only natural source of B12. If you are a vegetarian, then it’s fine that you take B12 supplements to try to get rid of that tinnitus.

A great way to try to get rid of that ringing and to be healthier all around is to eat more spinach in your diet. Spinach is rich in a nutrient called magnesium, which is important in nerve production and maintenance in your brain.

It’s been shown that one of the main reasons why tinnitus happens is because the nerve pathways between your ear and your mind are not maintained properly.

When you get more spinach into your diet, this could help to solve this problem.

  1. Hi Adam, Do you Have Tinnitus? I have had tinnitus for over 30 yrs. It began when one of my sons was a passenger in a severe car accident . He was the only one of six people involved to live. It started that night and I have had it ever since. I have read just about everything on the subject and tried just about everything I could ever find on the subject. I have also given plenty of money to the vast assembly of snake oil salesmen who claim they know just how to cure it. My MD told me when I got it there is no cure, but I decided to research it for myself. From my years-since experiences I can say he was right. Scientists and doctors agree that they don’t even know what causes the brain to make a phantom sound in the inner ear. In the process of living and researching Tinnitus I can say I have never found any food, supplement, or protocol that has effected the ringing in my ears in any way.
    Sincerely, Gary
